Mayuko Kamio, born 1986 in Toyonaka, Osaka, is a Japanese violinist, the gold medalist of the 2007 International Tchaikovsky Competition, is widely praised for her luxurious silken tone, long expressive phrasing and virtuoso techniques. Kamio has appeared with many renowned orchestras, including the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte Carlo, the Russian National Orchestra and the BBC Philharmonic.
