The two were discovered after uploading a music video of their cover of Michael Jackson's & Smooth Criminal to YouTube. 2Cellos weresigned to record label Sony Masterworks & finished recording their first album in May 2011, consisting of covers of songs by U2, Guns N' Roses, Nine Inch Nails, Sting, Coldplay, Nirvana, Muse, & Kings of Leon.
