Chloe Chua (b. 2007, Singapore) is a remarkable young violinist who first captured international attention as co-winner of the Junior division at the 2018 Yehudi Menuhin International Competition for Young Violinists. She has also claimed top prizes at the Andrea Postacchini International Violin Competition, Thailand International Strings Competition, and Singapore National Piano & Violin Competition. Educated under Yin Ke at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, she became the youngest-ever Artist-in-Residence with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra during their 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons, captivating audiences worldwide and forging a dynamic presence on both stage and screen.
Chua’s discography continues to grow with each passing year: her 2023 debut album featuring Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and Locatelli’s Harmonic Labyrinth drew wide acclaim, followed by her 2024 release Butterfly Lovers & Paganini, celebrated for its emotive range and technical prowess. Most recently, her 2025 recording of the complete Mozart Violin Concertos with the SSO and Hans Graf was praised for its “balanced, considered” interpretation, “clean, focused tone and elegant phrasing” that belie her youth.
