Daniel Lozakovich (b. 2001) is a Swedish violinist who has quickly risen to international prominence as one of the most gifted classical musicians of his generation. Born in Stockholm to Russian and Kyrgyz parents, he began playing the violin at age six and made his concerto debut at just nine years old. Recognized early on for his prodigious talent, he went on to study with renowned teachers such as Josef Rissin and Eduard Wulfson, refining a sound admired for its depth, maturity, and emotional intensity well beyond his years.
By his mid-teens, Lozakovich had already performed with leading orchestras including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre de Paris, and the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic, under the baton of conductors such as Valery Gergiev, Esa-Pekka Salonen, and Andris Nelsons. His interpretations of Bach, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, and Sibelius have drawn particular praise, with critics noting the rare balance he strikes between technical brilliance and a profound sense of musical poetry.
In 2016, Lozakovich signed an exclusive contract with Deutsche Grammophon, becoming one of the label’s youngest-ever artists. His debut album of Bach concertos and sonatas topped classical charts, followed by highly acclaimed recordings of Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto and Sibelius’ works. Today, Lozakovich continues to tour globally, earning recognition not only as a virtuoso violinist but as a thoughtful interpreter dedicated to carrying forward the traditions of the great masters while forging his own artistic voice.
