Gautier Capucon is a French cellist, brother of violinist Renaud Capucon. A multiple award winner, he is acclaimed for his expressive musicianship, exuberant virtuosity, and for the deep sonority of his 1701 Matteo Goffriller cello "L'Ambassadeur".
He studied at the prestigious National Conservatory in Paris and now enjoys a flourishing career as a concert soloist. He regularly performs with his brother, who also shares a passion for chamber music.
