Jimindorothy

Jimindorothy is a South Korean jazz pianist and composer whose career spans performance, education, and digital media. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, she was awarded a full scholarship and later placed second in the World Championship Old-Time Piano Playing Contest in Mississippi. After performing as a “Stowaway Pianist” aboard Royal Caribbean cruises, she returned to Korea and built a large online following through her YouTube channel, where she shares performances and tutorials with an audience of 300,000 subscribers.

Her playing draws on a wide range of jazz traditions—from ragtime and swing to bebop and modern styles—while often reimagining classical repertoire through a jazz lens. In addition to her educational book 30 Days, My New Pastime: Jazz Piano, she has released the album Poem of the Ocean, the single Releasing and Escaping, and appeared in Nord Keyboards’ “Seoul Sessions” with original works including Echoes of Serenity and Vibe Factory. With her blend of performance and teaching, Jimindorothy continues to bring jazz and modern classical music to new audiences both on stage and online.
