Tempus Quartet is a Mexican fusion string ensemble from Tampico, Tamaulipas that blends classical roots with modern styles. Founded in 2003, their lineup includes violin, cello, electric guitar, drums/percussion, and occasional soprano vocals. They began in classical and regional Mexican music, and over time have expanded into pop, rock, anime/video game themes and modern pop-classical fusion.
Their performances and videos are known for energetic arrangements of popular songs, re-imagined folk tunes, and covers that bring fresh life to familiar material. With more than a decade and a half of performing throughout Mexico, as well as tours to the US and Japan, Tempus Quartet delivers a sound grounded in technique but driven by innovation and audience connection.
