Y-Squared

Y-Squared is a classical music duo featuring Yelian He on cello and Yasmin Rowe on piano. They formed in 2008 and their name is a playful combination of their first initials.They perform both classic and contemporary cello and piano repertoire, and have released a debut CD called "Y2" which includes works by Mendelssohn, Schumann-Liszt, Kapustin, Piazzolla, and Henryson. 

Y-Squared has performed and given masterclasses internationally in Europe, Asia, and Australasia. Their debut CD was picked up by British Airways for their in-flight entertainment system. They have also released music videos, including a performance of Chopin's Cello Sonata and Kapustin's Burlesque, produced by the City Music Foundation.
